High Fructose Energy Drink bears the seal of the Cologne List, the world's first and largest doping prevention platform for dietary supplements. To this end, researchers confirm that it is ideal to combine sources of carbohydrates. We chose maltodextrin to control molecular weight/ osmolarity, the other was fructose.
MALTODEXTRINE:
Is absorbed in the small intestine by the transporter SLG-1 and converted to glucose for delivery to cells, providing them with energy quickly. This is a high glycemic index, rapid rise in blood sugar, with immediate release of energy. Rapid gastric emptying due to high molecular weight and low osmolarity, promoting digestion and reducing secondary gastrointestinal effects.
FRUCTOSE:
Is absorbed in the small intestine using the GLUT5 transporters, unlike the transporters that absorb other carbohydrates. Absorbed fructose travels from the intestines to the liver through GLUT2 transporters and replenishes liver glycogen stores lost during intense physical exercise. Gradual absorption occurs, with a steady and progressive release of energy. This is the reason why the combination of maltodextrin and fructose allows the digestion and assimilation of large amounts of carbohydrates per hour, reducing the risk of stomach problems.
226ERS HIGH FRUCTOSE ENERGY DRINK provides 87 g of carbohydrates and 500 mg of sodium per serving from maltodextrin and fructose, in a 10:8 ratio. It is vegan, gluten-free and available in three flavors.
