Get wings with the Cadomotus Chronos Aero Long Distance Triathlon Cycling Shoes!
High comfort, optimal power transfer and, above all, low air resistance: The Chronos Aero is a shoe that literally helps you move forward and supports your efforts as optimally as possible.
10 watts less air resistance due to good aerodynamics
Aerodynamics are crucial, especially when you can't stay in the saddle and have to complete that long ride yourself. With the Aero, we've chosen a quick, single-dial lock to close the shoe. The closure is covered by a zippered lace cover. The upper needs to be as smooth as possible to minimize air resistance. Therefore, there's no side closure to prevent turbulence. The smooth finish can achieve an energy saving of up to 10 watts, as shown in wind tunnel tests.
Comfort when donning and in rainy conditions
The shoe has a soft finish, providing extra comfort during entry and exit. The transition from the hard carbon shell to the softer upper is gradual, without any hard edges. This is possible because the shoe is constructed as a single piece. This is a laborious and expensive production method, but results in a significantly stronger and more comfortable shoe. Even more comfort is provided by the holes in the carbon shell sole, which drain water in rainy conditions. The upper is made of microfiber leather, which is lightweight, extremely strong, durable, and antibacterial.
Efficient pedal stroke without tightening
Once in the shoe, you can immediately transfer your power to the pedals, even if you're pressed for time and can't zip them all the way up. Shoes are often not laced properly, resulting in significant power loss. The carbon cupsole of the Cadomotus Aero is highly heat-moldable and therefore immediately locks your foot in place, ensuring an efficient pedal stroke. The shoe fits so snugly from the start that every pedal stroke is spot-on, which is especially beneficial uphill or when accelerating out of a turn.
Stiff shoe shell helps to save for walking
Ultimately, the shoe's most important advantage is its solid cupsole. Because you cycle more efficiently, as mentioned, you save energy for running. This is further enhanced by the fact that the stiff shoe also significantly stabilizes and relieves your calf. As a result, you cycle much more from your hips and thighs, sparing your calf for running. You delay fatigue, which can then yield significant benefits when running. In short, it's a shoe that makes you both cycle and run better.
How do I find the right shoe size?
Supplies
Thin marker or ballpoint pen
1x A4 paper
Ruler (note: from 46 you need a ruler larger than 30cm or a measuring tape)
Measure your feet
Place the A4 paper on the floor with the short side against the wall
Place the first foot on the paper with your heel against the wall
Place a book against your longest toe (usually your big toe)
Now carefully remove your foot without moving the book
Now draw a line along the book and put a letter R or L at the line
Now repeat steps 2 through 5 with your other foot.
Now measure the length of both stripes and choose the longest result
If necessary, add 2mm extra to the result for thick socks.
