On this page you can read all about how to rent a wetsuit. You can also reserve a wetsuit right away. When do you need a wetsuit? A wetsuit is worn for two reasons: water temperature and buoyancy. Swimming in open water can be quite cold. At water temperatures below 16 degrees, a wetsuit is therefore often mandatory. At water temperatures above 24.5 degrees, on the other hand, you may not wear a wetsuit. In general, wearing a wetsuit in the spring and fall is recommended, because you can cool down considerably while swimming. Moreover, a wetsuit also offers you the advantage of staying afloat easier. Thus, you will swim your race faster than ever. Good quality wetsuits At ASW we only rent special high quality swim wetsuits and renowned brands such as Zone3. This ensures that you are well prepared for a triathlon or swim with a wetsuit from ASW. Then don't wait too long to reserve your wetsuit.  You order your wetsuit this way: Select the day you want to pick up your wetsuit Select the day you want to return the wetsuit  Please describe your weight, height, gender and event you are participating in in the text field Add the wetsuit to your cart Follow the steps to place your order Select COLLECT  You will receive an order confirmation by email Pick up wetsuit You can pick up your rented wetsuit in our store in Amsterdam. Cost for renting Renting a wetsuit costs €15 per day with a minimum of 3 days rental. This rental period allows you to rent for a weekend. The period begins on the day you pick up your wetsuit and ends on the day your wetsuit is returned. This also allows you to try on your wetsuit once before your race.  The use of the wetsuit and the deposit If you rent a good as new wetsuit from ASW, we assume that you will handle it with care. When renting, we charge a deposit of €100 per wetsuit. If the wetsuit is returned clean and undamaged, the deposit is refunded immediately. Our wetsuits are only suitable for swimming and not for diving, surfing, supping, snorkeling, etc. In activities other than swimming, damage will certainly occur due to the material properties of our wetsuits. Returning the wetsuit After you have used the wetsuit and the rental period ends, we assume that you return the wetsuit to us without delay so that we can rent it to another swimmer.  You return the wetsuit in this manner: Clean the wetsuit after swimming by rinsing it with cold tap water Is there any damage to the wetsuit? Please let us know as soon as possible (before returning) by e-mail with photo Pack the wetsuit in its original packaging or box. Return it to the store Rental fee as credit toward the purchase of a new wetsuit Did you like swimming in a wetsuit? Then we are happy to help you purchase a new wetsuit. Within 3 months after renting a wetsuit you will receive the rental price from us as a discount on the purchase price of your new wetsuit.
